The Good News of Passover

Passover is the first of the seven biblically mandated appointed times of the LORD. Passover celebrates God's protection over His people in Egypt. God instructed each family to apply the blood of the lamb to the doorpost of their home and when the angel of death saw the blood on the doorpost, he "passed-over" their homes, sparing them from the plague of the firstborn.
Just as God "passed-over" and spared the lives of those who placed the lamb's blood on their doorpost, so too God will save those who apply the blood of the Lamb of God to their hearts. This is the Good News of Passover!
The Passover was a type, or picture of the final deliverance God has promised for Israel and indeed for the whole world, when He would offer His Son (Yeshua) as the ultimate sacrifice ---Messiah Yeshua the Passover Lamb, who would take away the sin of the world.
Passover also presents a portrait of The Messiah. Paul wrote that "Christ (Messiah), our Passover, was sacrificed for us" (1 Cor 5:7). At Jesus last Passover Seder with his disciples, he broke the matzah and said "take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me" (11:24).
Each person need only to apply the Blood of the Lamb to the doorpost of his heart (by trusting in Yeshua Messiah as Savior/Redeemer from the curse of Sin, which is separation from God and condemnation to spiritual death), by believing in Yeshua he will be delivered from the bondage of sin and from spiritual death unto life eternal!
